Grow data powers dashboards, reporting context, and workflow insights inside Fostr. This page explains how charts, metrics, and dashboard outputs are synchronized into the platform so that teams can act on live business intelligence without leaving their workspace.

Data Requests and Responses

Fostr connects to Grow through secure API calls that make dashboards and metrics available inside workflows. These calls are not constant; they are initiated only when relevant.

Typical interactions include:

When triggered, the integration responds with summaries of dashboards, fresh KPI values, or data snapshots that can be attached to Fostr Records and Actions. This ensures that Grow reporting is accessible in real time without duplicating full datasets.

Data Retention and Storage

By design, Grow stays the system of record. Fostr does not copy entire dashboards or ingest raw datasets. Instead, Grow data only becomes persistent in Fostr if it is promoted into structured workflow elements.

Examples of what persists:

Everything else remains transient. If a metric or chart is only viewed in a workflow and not saved into a Record, Decision, or Action, it is not stored in Fostr beyond the immediate session.

Triggers for Data Use

Grow data is never pulled indiscriminately. Fostr captures or displays it only when something specific calls for it.

Common triggers include:

These triggers ensure that Grow remains the authoritative source of truth, while Fostr uses its information only in the context of decision‑making and workflow execution.
