These steps will help you generate API Keys inside your GoHighLevel account to enable you to integrate GoHighLevel with other apps and tools.

The steps should be performed by an admin of the GoHighLevel account. The goal is to fully integrate GoHighLevel with Fostr.

Step 1: Sign In to GoHighLevel

Open https://www.gohighlevel.com/ in your browser.

Log in with your Admin account with permission to view and generate API Keys.

Note: If your account has never had an API Key generated on it, ensure you’re using the ‘Unlimited’ or ‘Pro’ plan. The ‘Starter’ plan has ‘Enhanced Security Settings’ turned on by default, which cannot be turned off, preventing your ability to generate an API Key for the first time.

Step 2: Switch to Location View

(Required to check if an API Key already exists)

In the top-left of your dashboard, click the View Selector labelled ‘Click here to switch’.

Choose the Location / Company Name you want to integrate.

Note: you cannot see or regenerate API Keys in Agency View — Location View is required for this step.
