Before your store data can start flowing into Fostr, the integration needs to be connected using the credentials provided in your Shopify admin. Getting this step right ensures the platform can continuously bring in orders, products, and customer activity without disruption. Configuration Notes
If you operate multiple Shopify storefronts, confirm that the Client ID and Secret belong to the same store domain you entered in Fostr.
Archived orders or products set to “draft” status in Shopify will not be pulled by default. Verify store settings if expected records are missing.
Historical data is only ingested if a backfill was requested during setup. Otherwise, only current and new records flow into the platform.
Data Handling in Practice
Shopify remains the system of record. Fostr connects through the authorized app and surfaces data for workflows. If your Client ID or Secret ever changes (for example, if an app is reinstalled), the values must be updated within the Integration record in Fostr to restore connectivity.
